The 2015-2016 NBA regular season ended with a bang. The record-setting 73rd victory of the season by the defending-champion Golden State who’s leader; defending MVP Steph Curry hit 402 three-pointers this season; the career-ending 60-point game by Kobe Bryant in a victory in L.A. against the Jazz and lost in the marquee matchups the blowing of a 26-point lead by the Miami Heat to the Boston Celtics only to have the Heat win the #3 seed in some weird tie-breaker in a four-team tie between the Heat, Celtics, Atlanta Hawks and the Charlotte Hornets.
NBA’s second half begins…
It’s called the “unofficial” midpoint of the NBA Season. Unofficial because the thirty-some odd regular season games remaining are about a third of the 82-game schedule. But if taken into account the October start of preseason and the June finish of the NBA finals, the All-Star break really is pretty close to halfway. During this final stretch of the season, there will be jostling and fighting for teams not only to secure as high a seed as possible, but to just make it to the playoffs period. About ten teams in each conference have a chance to get into the playoff picture, but only four teams (Warriors, Spurs, Cavs or Thunder) have a real chance to win the title, if the prognosticators are to be believed.

Finally…the 2015 NBA Finals!
After the longest break in NBA history, the NBA finals will begin tomorrow night in Oakland. The West’s #1 seeded Golden State Warriors versus the East’s #2 seeded Cleveland Cavaliers.
NBA Conference Finals!!
So it comes down to these final four teams: Houston Rockets, Golden State Warriors, Cleveland Cavaliers and Atlanta Hawks. I’ll briefly break down the play so far of the teams left and the chances each one has to win it all. Continue reading “NBA Conference Finals!!”
First Round Playoff Action!!
So there are a few predictions that haven’t quite come to fruition, but for the most part these playoffs are what we thought they were! Here’s a recap of what has happened so far:

The defending champion San Antonio Spurs come in as the #6 seed in the West, by far the toughest of the two conferences. It will be an uphill climb for them to repeat as champions for the first time in franchise history.
