This wasn’t the expected turn for the NBA Finals.
When the Cavaliers, having already lost one All-Star earlier in the playoffs, lost another when Kyrie Irving went down with a broken kneecap, that was supposed to be a wrap for the Cavaliers. Instead, the Cavs played a gritty defensive game and LeBron had a triple double to lead his team to a victory and tie the series at 1-1.
Stephen Curry had one of the worst shooting nights of the season and Dellavedova is now the Curry-stopper. Not sure if that is sustainable (it’s not), but the Cavs have the split that you need in the first two road games. Now the series shifts back to Cleveland where the title-starved fans there will heed LeBron James’ call out during his postgame for the home fans to be louder than they have ever been! Bad shooting by both James and Stephen Curry did nothing to dampen what has been an exciting couple of games to start the NBA Finals. Let’s hope we get overtime everytime!
